We wanted to give the rocking chair a new design accent and at the same time develop a very high quality product made of sustainable materials. After 3 years of development we believe we have created an inspiring product and hope to surprise you with it as well. Shabbes is a furniture start-up from Tübingen in the south of Germany with a young dynamic team with lots of ideas and vision.

Rocking imitates the experience of being a baby in the mother's womb. A feeling of care, closeness and security. Rocking relaxes and the rocking chair is therefore a great natural way to switch off and leave everyday life behind. The round wood with the comfortable cushion hugs the person rocking, creating wonderful comfort and security.

The name Shabbes comes from the Yiddish word meaning Shabbat, and that's exactly what Shabbes rocking chairs stand for. Make your home a place of relaxation.
