BREAK THE CHAIN OF INFECTION

In the 1960s, the introduction of alcohol-based hand hand sanitizers on the European market posed a major challenge: The pump seals of the existing dispenser systems could not withstand the alcoholic ingredients. After a while, they began to leak and the product dripped onto the floor. Hermann Ophardt, who had previously founded OPHARDT Hygiene in 1962, took on this problem. After intensive tinkering and many tests in his garage, which had been converted into a workroom, he presented his ingenious invention in 1967: The ingo-man® dispenser was born.

ingo-man® - Medical hand hygiene with quality

The ingo-man® offered significant advantages over other systems on the market: as the first dispenser suitable for dispensing disinfectant and soap, it withstood the extreme temperatures during reprocessing in an autoclave. The innovative pump technology prevented dripping after use. The simple use of the filling bottles and the practical operating lever for particularly hygienic operation quickly made it a standard product in medical facilities.

OPHARDT Hygiene revolutionized the hygiene market in 1973 with another innovation, the Euro bottle.

Uniform in shape and size, the Euro bottle format allows a free choice of disinfectants and soaps from different manufacturers. Especially in times of strongly increased demand or supply bottlenecks, the Euro bottle format guarantees the greatest possible security of supply!

All ingo-man® dispensers are compatible with Euro bottles.

Today, OPHARDT Hygiene is a global manufacturer of innovative dispenser systems and high-quality complete solutions for sustainable hand hygiene. The medium-sized group of companies develops, manufactures and distributes a comprehensive product portfolio for various areas of application at a total of seven locations. These include hygiene-sensitive facilities such as hospitals, clinics and doctors' surgeries as well as public washrooms, areas in the food industry and cleanrooms.

The ingo-man® dispenser - the No. 1 dispenser system in German hospitals - is the benchmark for sustainable product design: the first models are still in use decades after their installation. Our dispensers have been continuously developed and improved over the years.
