KARMAN

Karman is an Italian company producing indoor and outdoor lighting. It was founded in Fossombrone, in the heart of Italy’s Marche region in 2005, from the creative insight and entrepreneurial spirit of Davide Diamantini. The roots may be Italian, but the company itself has a strong vocation for operating on international markets, where its products are distributed with ever-increasing success. The strong, decorative identity that is such an important part of Karman means it stands out in the contemporary lighting panorama thanks to its ability to put together and create a dialogue in projects that are unconventional but also have profound rigor, excellent precision, and significant expertise when it comes to materials and lighting technologies. Light is experienced, first and foremost, as a continued source of inspiration.

In Karman’s collections, the confines between lighting and decoration become blurred, with fun lighting projects that reinterpret classic shapes using materials and decorative touches that are seemingly at odds with one another, to seal and customize a vast range of rooms.
Lighting projects that are perfect for private rooms and niche contract orders, which have seen the company express its style with passion and expertise, interpreting coffee shops, cafes, restaurants, resorts, and designer hotels, using elegance and originality, with increasingly exhaustive design ideas. The designs of Matteo Ugolini - art director and creative, Baldessari&Baldessari, Giorgio Biscaro, Luca De Bona&Dario De Meo, Paola Navone, Marc Sadler, and Edmondo Testaguzza live together in a permanent quest for beauty and evocation, inspired with movements from nature, from the animal kingdom, and memories and suggestions of the past, or from everyday items, to bring pure classical forms to life, and another brand new, more playful shapes in the lighting industry.

The new Karman collections are presented in hybrid environments between fiction and reality, home and jungle, order and chaos, and between control and freedom, to emphasize man's essential and contradictory bond with Nature.
