eibe - A Global Family Business
Starting as a small carpentry shop 50 years ago, eibe has evolved into a globally successful family-owned enterprise. The main manufacturing site remains in Röttingen, where we operate one of Germany's most advanced development and production facilities for play equipment. At this location, we exclusively produce eibe ORIGINALS, consistently aiming to create play equipment that nurtures children, challenges teenagers, engages adults, and offers immense fun through physical activity.
The Evolution of Play Equipment
The name "Eichinger" was first recorded in Röttingen's church archives in the 15th century, tracing back to the original carpentry business. In 1975, the company officially rebranded as eibe. Today, eibe is a leading manufacturer of playground equipment, employing over 300 people worldwide who are dedicated to the design, production, and sales of high-quality products.
Eight Centuries of Family Ownership
Tilo Eichinger has been the owner of eibe since 2005, continuing the family's remarkable tradition of passing down ownership through generations since 1438. As chairman of the BSFH (German Federal Association of the Manufacturers of Play Equipment and Recreational Centres, e.V.), Tilo Eichinger has received notable accolades such as “Entrepreneur of the Year 2009” and the “Grand Prize of the Medium-sized Businesses – Finalist 2009.” Since 1971, eibe products have consistently earned national and international awards, including the Worlddidac "Die gute Industrieform" and the federal award "Gute Form."
