Alongside solar thermal systems, heat pumps are the most environmentally responsible appliances for providing DHW and central heating. The WOLF BSP-W stratification cylinder is specially designed for utilising resources drawn from the environment. It can also be combined with all commonly used heat generators, such as oil, gas, wood or pellet boilers. The BSP-W is ideal for use with a heat pump because its freshwater module where the DHW is heated is designed for very low temperatures, making heat pump operation particularly efficient. To ensure optimum use of solar thermal energy, a smooth tube indirect coil is fitted in the bottom of the cylinder. This makes the very most of the sun's energy to heat the cylinder water.
