A small surface, a tight budget, but a willingness to create intimacy and fun in the kid's room led the architect Sandra Courtine (member of Ciel Architects) to develop this project in a Valchromat® grey, glossy varnished.
This piece is composed of two mezzanines shifted:
- Under the lowest mezzanine, long drawers were created for accommodate clothing
- Under the highest mezzanine, a place was left for a future office.
On the right of the niche, toys and other bulky items are stored in a large, deep closet. Books and small items are placed in a low bookcase facing the mezzanine. Perforations of various sizes animate the design. Useful for the ladder, fun to hide and for aesthetic.
The choice of Valchromat grey, sober and elegant, was chosen to allow the children’s toys to animate the room by their multitude of colours.
