The NPS® Cls Plus Beam with prestressed concrete footing with mixed steel-concrete structure is fire-resistant according to Eurocode 2-2 requirements. Recommended for fire-proof structures with large overloads and/or spans, particularly resistant to chemical-physical aggressive agents.
It differs from NPS® Cls Beam due to the presence of precompressed reinforcements, strands or cables, on the concrete footing.
Precompression guarantees the self-supporting aspect of the base slab, and contributes to the overall capacity of the beam, allowing truss size to be reduced, while deflecting to the beam itself.
Lower chords are inserted in precast class C32/40 concrete footing (UNI EN 206-1:2006), and equipped with reinforcement and surface reinforcement sized to support the heavy load of the ceiling on the NPS® Cls Plus Beam.
