Camphor burl is an evergreen from the laurel family whose wood has a vibrant look and a very aromatic scent. The veneer figure stimulates the observer's imagination with its overlapping, vivid cloud-like formations which are riddled with groups of small burl cores, fine lines and large ingrown knots. Furthermore, the wood boasts of a silky radiance and strong coloring, which changes from yellowish green to reddish brown and deep, dark red.
