Schlüter®-TROBA-STELZ-MR are plastic rings made of non-decaying polystyrene that are used as installation aids for large format pavers on balconies and terraces. The 25 mm high plastic rings are installed at the cross sections of the pavers over the drainage membrane Schlüter®-TROBA-PLUS 8G and remain in the assembly once they have been filled with fresh mortar (preferably pervious mortar). Schlüter®-TROBA-STELZ mortar rings can be combined telescopically, allowing for easy height adjustment of the covering, regardless of the existing slope of the substructure. Once the rings have been filled with mortar, the paver corners are placed on the support pedestals and tapped into position to the correct height and alignment. The finished covering drains through the open joints between the pavers to the drainage level of the Schlüter®-TROBA-PLUS membrane. The drainage water is routed to the gutters by gravity, depending on the installed slope.
