An exercise in exuberant geometry, Zade employs the épinglé technique to create a webbed effect inspired by the colourful woven straps of Franz West’s 1980s Uncle chairs. Loops of matte and shiny viscose in two heights are woven on a tight cotton ground, their 3D-effect further amplified by shots of colour in small polyester squares. Each iteration exudes an individual character from neon garden green to high impact poppy red and ink, pink aubergine and volcanic black. Dusty pistachio has pink sparks, coffee brown hints of baby blue. Silver cream and caramel sand play with nuance.
