DC10 is the kitchen system designed in 2010 by Vincenzo De Cotiis for Rossana RB. It includes island and peninsula components for customized site-specific installations. It does not include additional wall and tall units but is easily combined with other Rossana cabinets and kitchens. According to Vincenzo De Cotiis, DC10 is an “extraordinary” object. Rather than a modular system, it is an example of a visionary design with a strong leaning toward contemporary art, completely free of the standardization criteria typically found in a kitchen series. The door panel material is extraordinary, brushed burnished brass employed for the first time ever in this context which gives the surfaces a warm and luxurious feel. The countertop is extraordinary, with a rounded profile and reveal, large sink, and built in cook-top and accessories. The kitchen interior is truly extraordinary, with casework of both technical and aesthetical value, more suggestive of a living room than a kitchen. Key words: intensity, contemporary luxury, interpretation, high-tech.
