The staircase is an architectural element of vertical communication, that is, a connection between floors at different levels and consequently also an element of spatial continuity. Due to the importance of this element, Planium decided to dedicate unique coatings with exclusive metal textures to it. This staircase is covered in Calamine metal, an oxide obtained from steel with particular chromatic shades ranging from Anthracite to Aviation Blue, suitable for floors and walls.
Calamine is a surface oxidation layer that is generated during the hot rolling of a steel plate. Planium uses it to create unique and original surfaces. Each slab is unrepeatable in its chromatic shades more or less homogeneous or mottled.
Like all Planium finishes this material is recyclable.
