Project Feature
10 Hammersmith Grove is the first of two buildings to be built next to Hammersmith Underground Station in West London. The 44 m (144 ft) high building houses restaurants and an office entrance on the ground floor and offices on the eight upper floors. The triple glazed aluminium and glass façade of the building presents a simple, economical and aesthetically pleasing design and makes a significant contribution to the achievement of an “Excellent” BREEAM Standard for energy efficiency and sustainability.
Scope of Work
7,000 m² (75,300 sq ft) aluminum façade with structural silicone glazing (SSG) made of triple insulating glass. Projecting, partly-illuminated edges. Basic grid dimension according to glass size: 1.5 x 3.9 m.
Entrance area consisting of a 700 m² (7,500 sq ft) mullion-transom stick system with cover strip (made of rectangular profiles) and integrated door systems. Basic grid dimensions 3 x 6.5 m for glass sizes of 3 x 4 m.
