L-shaped walls require full upstream panel stabilization. A cast in-situ sub-foundation allows better distributing pressure on the ground. This type of wall is preferred when downstream overall dimensions need to be reduced or in the presence of downstream roads with underground utility channels or passages. Wall assembly To correctly install the wall and ensure the load-bearing capacity of the ground after excavation a reinforced-concrete sub-foundation will have to be made with an adequately reinforced Rck>=250, on which to erect the wall. In this transitory phase, the wall must be fixed to the sub-foundation to ensure wind stability. On each base rib, the wall features shear bolt anchors to be fastened to the substructure. Now the stabilization reinforcement and linking beams can be installed before casting the stabilization base.
