FALZONAL pre-painted aluminum from Novelis offers architects and builders endless possibilities for roofing and facade cladding. More ductile than most lock-welt materials, shaping of this aluminum standing-seam roofing can be done easily to match any architectural application. A wide range of colors and finishes are also available, so designers can be as creative as they wish, knowing what’s on paper can become reality. Form and Function Our state-of-the-art production processes consistently deliver a high-quality base material and coating. This produces a surface that is extremely durable and corrosion resistant and can absorb building movement and temperature fluctuations without problem. Our aluminum standing-seam roofing also provides peace of mind with permanent waterproofing to protect roofs, facades and the interiors they cover for years. The aluminum base material is seawater resistant, protected with a PVdF (polyvinylidene fluoride) coating. If any areas are exposed, perhaps due to an installation error, the aluminum protects itself. A reaction with the oxygen or water vapor in the air forms a thin but dense oxide layer (Al2O3). This layer protects the base material from metal erosion. Versatile and Durable FALZONAL is used just as easily and inexpensively for double-skin, rear-ventilated or single-skin, non-rear-ventilated roof construction as it is for complex facade architecture.
