Novelis CU77A copper anodized aluminum combines the advantages of coil-anodized aluminum with the aesthetics of copper.
Exceptional color and gloss retention, with the added benefit of the copper appearance, give architects and builders a new and popular option for roofing, facades, interior cladding and roof drainage systems. Similar to our other coil-anodized aluminum products, Novelis CU77A can be processed further, including roll forming, edging, bending and stamping.
The Look of Copper
The anodizing process makes Novelis aluminum more durable and envelops it in a protective layer that provides exceptional resistance to harsh environments, so it’s ideal for exterior architectural applications. The anodizing layer can be produced between 5 and 15 µm and upon different alloys, depending on the final application.
Two copper shades are available – CU50 and CU80 – for a choice of a light or dark copper finish.
Anodized Aluminum’s Clear Advantages
The base material used is Novelis’ highly regarded anodizing quality aluminum. This ensures that the advantages of aluminum are perfectly combined with the look of copper. Advantages of CU77A copper anodized aluminum include durable brilliance, corrosion resistance (in neutral pH range), weatherproof, UV resistance and highly recyclable.
Fire rated A1 according to DIN 4102, CU77A is non-combustible, improving safety in whatever structure it’s used, as well as offering greater peace of mind.
