NORDCEM is a special inorganic cement with osmotic properties. Once dissolved in a solvent it is capable of penetrating into the substrates micro-revices, chemically react stabilizing the calcium hydrate and irreversibly precipitate in the form of insoluble micro-crystals which then occlude the internal porosity (chemical waterproofing).
At the same time, NORDCEM gives rise on the surface to a cementitious, pore-free, waterproof layer that is able to resist water counter-pressure.
The chemical nature of the NORDCEM layer allows the substrate perspiration and to maintain the waterproofing effect over a very long period of time.
Usage field
NORDCEM is used for:
waterproofing of structures subjected to continuous water pressure (positive or negative), such as basements, foundations, retaining walls, lift shafts, hoists, swimming pools, tanks, canals, tunnels;
waterproofing of tanks for the storage of non-potable water.
Advantages - NORDCEM:
is a non-toxic coating;
allows intervention on substrates saturated with water;
is easy and quick to install.
