Rustic and Modern
A special eye-catcher is the Pannonia Green chlorite schist from Austria. The playful light green and white veins give the material a special freshness. The structure of the rock, and with it its character, changes by means of different cutting directions. When vein cut, Pannonia Green has a flowing longitudinal structure, but when cross cut, the schist appears softly clouded. Both cutting directions can be used in rustic as well as in modern environments.
Pannonia Green has outstanding technical properties and is also resistant to acid and salts. The material can therefore be used in a very wide range of applications. It is ideal for kitchen countertops, floors and facades, for interior and exterior use as well as for garden construction and landscaping.
description material type
Granite is a hard rock of volcanic origin and belongs to the group of plutonic rocks, which originate of solidified magma deep in the Earth's crust. As opposed to this, basalt forms from the rapid cooling of lava exposed at or very near to the surface of the Earth. Thus it appertains to the group of extrusive rocks. Granite is mostly composed of feldspar and quartz, which give it a high range of hardness. It is very resistant to high wear, with superior abrasion resistance and compressive strength. The hard rock is available in a wide range of colors and is in most cases an excellent material for internal and external building use.
