Description

High-grade and Rustic In the interplay with light, the brilliance of the mica schist from northern Italy is particularly evident. The grey-brown material has several garnet inclusions (dark red semi-precious stones), which give the schist a particularly noble appearance. Due to its relatively high quartz content, the material achieves a special depth effect. This effect is especially striking in the polished finish. Due to its dynamic structure, each slab of the grey-brown mica schist is unique, like a piece of artwork created by Nature. Thanks to its acid resistance and more compact structure compared to many comparable products from Brazil, Alps Glitter is very suitable for kitchen countertops and is often used for upscale interior design. description material type Granite is a hard rock of volcanic origin and belongs to the group of plutonic rocks, which originate of solidified magma deep in the Earth's crust. As opposed to this, basalt forms from the rapid cooling of lava exposed at or very near to the surface of the Earth. Thus it appertains to the group of extrusive rocks. Granite is mostly composed of feldspar and quartz, which give it a high range of hardness. It is very resistant to high wear, with superior abrasion resistance and compressive strength. The hard rock is available in a wide range of colors and is in most cases an excellent material for internal and external building use.
