Naue Steel T utilises the primary reinforcement of Secugrid® geogrids combined with temporary effective steel-skin facings in enveloped forms to create a reinforced soil construction system that can adapt to numerous slope angles and shapes while supporting vegetation. Plantings are possible on the face of Naue Steel T on slopes up to 70°.
For steeper slopes, special vegetation measures and irrigation systems are generally necessary. Secutex® nonwoven geotextiles or Secumat® erosion control mats provide slope face erosion control. The Naue Steel T system for reinforced slopes and reinforced walls enables considerable design flexibility, thus allowing adaptation to project-specific requirements and wall shapes while being highly economical, quick to construct, and aesthetically attractive with a natural, green face.
Landslide, slope and embankment restorations
Slope stabilisations up to 70°
Vegetated slopes with gradients between 45° and 70°
Retaining wall structures up to 90°
Road and rail noise barriers
Permanent stability even up to 90°
Green solution
High load capacity
Variable spacers allow site-specific slope face adjustment
Quick and easy construction
Site soils (including cohesive soils) can be used
Extremely economical, due to the ability to utilise more-affordable cohesive soils rather than dispose of or replace them with non-cohesive soils
Secugrid® geogrids can be used with cement stabilised and lime stabilised soils
Ecological benefits associated with the use of local soils include decreased transportation pollution (and cost) and conservation of natural resources
