The Naue Wrap Secugrid® geogrid system for reinforced soil structures like reinforced slopes and reinforced walls utilises Secugrid® in wrapped, reinforcement envelopes at slope fronts. Temporary formworks, such as wood piles, are used in the site preparation and construction process. Mechanical protection of the high load-bearing capacity of Naue’s Secugrid® reinforcement technology is secured by the installation of Secumat® erosion control mats or Secutex® nonwoven geotextiles. These measures protect against erosion of the soil.
Naue Wrap is highly adaptable to project-specific requirements and geometries, which leads to an economical, aesthetic solution capable of supporting vegetation. Slope surfaces at angles up to 70° can be vegetated. Additional UV protection can be provided through the installation of facing stones or other adequate materials.
Reinforced Vegetated slopes between 45° and 70°
Retaining walls up to 90°, in combination with a panel facing
Permanent stability even on slopes up to 90°
One source/system for all reinforcement needs
Natural, green-faced constructions
Conserves construction resources and costs, as site formworks can be reused
Simple construction
High load capacity
Site soils (including cohesive soils) can be used, which optimises project economy since more-affordable cohesive soils can be used rather than disposed of or replaced with non-cohesive soils
Secugrid® geogrids can be used with soils stabilised with cement or lime
Variable spacers allow site-specific slope face adjustment
Ecological benefits associated with the use of local soils include decreased transportation pollution and cost and conservation of natural resources
