La Valse Crocodile is a viscose and cotton velvet fabric on which a lamination was used to create this reptilian, crocodile skin effect. Its chromatic sheen is achieved by an iridescent colour film. This collection of techniques bestows an incredible depth and richness of tone, to its three colourways of champagne, graphite and midnight.Tanzania is home to two huge lakes, lake Victoria and Lake Tanganyika (which retained the original name of the lands of Tanganyika, before becoming the new Tanzania). Very rich in fish, they are also home to crocodiles, hippos and fishing birds. La valse du crocodile (the crocodile waltz) is a metaphor for the way this animal always manages to stage a surprise attack by emerging from the waves.
