Description

Écran is french for canvas. The backplate being this "canvas" on which the minimalistic and pure beauty of the PETIT PAPILLON wall light design is revealed with all clarity. Through the fine materiality and simple elegance of the new “backplate” the striking design of the PAPILLON sconce receives an even more distinctive charisma. The light reflections on the wall develop a unique light play that accentuates the classy compactness of the wall light. An effect that highlights the PETIT PAILLON ÉCRAN as an art object and also creates an emotional connection with the living space by its gentle, indirect beam of light. The PETIT PAPILLON ÉCRAN creates a harmonious unit of minimalistic design elegance and a sensual language of light that enhances every ambience. Customized solutions like variations in size are still possible. A box behind the backplate to hide electronics can be added. In general the backplate makes it much easier to hide an external power supply inside the wall, which is needed for a "tuneable white" LED solution for example. THE PAPILLON ÉCRAN family can have protection class IP44 and can be suitable for damp rooms such as bathrooms and outdoor shaded areas. See a size comparison of the PAPILLON family at the end of the image gallery.
