The KB bearing lintel XC constitutes another subgroup of the KB KLASIK walling system. The lintels are used as supporting structural elements above the window or door openings in both the supporting and partition walls.
They are structurally effective immediately after being put in place. These are imbedded in the mortar bed (Special KB - BLOK walling mix best), 12 mm thick. The height is 238 mm, which together with the 12 mm bed thickness, correspond to the elevation module of KB KLASIK XC shaped bricks (250 mm). These are bedded individually (e.g. on a cross-piece of KB KLASIK XC 80 shaped bricks) or in multiples. These are interconnected against tilting with a soft wire, to be removed following the mortar setting. The m minimum length of lintel bedding is specified in the prospectus table and depends on the inner diameter of the opening. These are bedded edgewise on principle, not flat; the internal lintel bracing is symmetric, this is why the edgewise bedding is arbitrary.
