Supporting walls of BARRIER BLOK elements are made by dry technology, which offers several advantages. Mortar-free dry joints enable relatively small shifts and deformations between individual elements without defects of the walls or ugly cracks. It is recommended to install concrete element posts on a rubble bed, which is soft and adjusts to tiny deformations of the ground. No special mechanisms are necessary for construction. Handling the concrete elements is easy, done by one or two people according to the specific element. Handling the geo-grid is very simple, because it is a light structure. A big advantage is that construction of a reinforced supporting wall does not require a wet process; therefore, it can be performed even in a less favourable climate and areas where there is no access for vehicles or concrete mixtures. The geo-grids are fixed to the wall with special ties.
