The 178 m (585 ft) high Broadgate Tower, within the City of London, is bordered by 201 Bishopsgate to the east, Primrose Street to the south, Worship Street to the north and Broadwalk House and Network Rail Signal Box to the west. Broadgate Tower is one of two buildings to be developed on the previously constructed “raft” slab, which spans over the railway leading into Liverpool Street Station. The Tower consists of a 34-story office tower plus a further 2 levels of small plant room areas. The tower's main cladding is a 1.5 m wide module with a story height of 4.15 m comprising regular sized standard unit modules combined with oversized triangular units and spandrel units forming the diagrid of the building. The triangular units are both point-up and point-down, some in excess of 3 m wide. Recessed spandrel and grid panels are stainless steel clad units installed horizontally, vertically and diagonally, some over 9 m in length.
