Interior plant wall: Moebius
Inspired by the organic drawings of Moebius, Jardins de Babylone designed an indoor plant wall which can be seen in their showroom in Paris. It has numerous features:
A total surface area of 12 m².
Stainless steel sheet metal with laser cut-outs and painted in three colours to delineate the different sections of each plant.
Many varieties of plants are used: Saxifrage (rock foils), Ficus pumila (creeping fig), Fittonia (nerve plant), Pilea, Peperomia obtusifolia (baby rubberplant), Aeschynanthus japhrolepsis (lipstick plant), variegated ivy, Scindapsus pictus argyraeyus (silver philodendron) and more besides.
A mixture of shapes and colours, plants and sheet metal blend into one, intertwining to become one. What we have here is a blend of a large variety of indoor plants with restricted development which maintains the look of different forms of foliage and colour.
