An ambitious challenge with a successful result.
Jardins de Babylone designed a winter flower-covered terrace at the The Westin Paris hotel in the city’s 1st arrondissement.
In partnership with ‘The Westin Turtle Bay’ in Mauritius, The Westin Paris – Vendôme wanted to create a cosy garden with a sense of well-being. This flowered terrace is the ideal place for a comforting tea as well as music in a comfortable environment to better cope with the winter.
This winter garden is the first creation on this scale and has never been done before. It has several features:
The terrace has a total surface area of 400 m².
A total of 1,605 artificial flowers and 457 foliages are used.
Each plant was meticulously selected and assembled with care to form a haute couture floral oasis. Wisterias, bougainvilleas, strantia majors, fuchsias, dancing-lady orchids, Gloriosas, lobster-claws and moth orchids were planted.
It draws inspiration from Mauritian flora, creating a fantastic, exotic universe with twirling colours.
