The long bricks represent one of the highlights of the Janinhoff clinker range. They are becoming increasingly important as an architectural design element. They have long been considered as traditional brick sizes, however they are now being reinterpreted and used in contemporary architecture.
The fine, slim bricks with varying texture can create really new and impressive facade patterns, giving walls a powerful structure. The varieties of design are endless when used with mortar joints and different brick bond laying patterns.
Due to its elongated form - the bricks are approximately twice as long as the regular clinker brick - the facade's diagonal pattern is highlighted and characteristic building proportions are emphasised.
The long bricks are manufactured in four standard sizes. The most common are 490x90x40 and 490x90x52 mm.
