Every Jan Kath carpet can be individually designed in terms of size, format, and materials. Even the collections can be combined with each other using a kind of modular system.
The collection is breaking through geometry, scratching at the straight line.
The inspiration for BORO is an old patchwork technique from Japan, where long strips of worn-out fabrics are sewn together to produce exclusive wall hangings. Jan Kath has interpreted this idea in his designs. The material mix of wool, silk and nettle fibers gives the collection its almost transparent depth.
