AquaLay Wet Area Membrane is a new generation, flexible, easy-to-apply, four-layer water-proof membrane. It consists of two EVAC layers with two sides coated with non-woven geotextile. Thanks to the geotextile surfaces, it ensures excellent adhesion and cohesion to tile adhesives on both horizontal floors and vertical walls. Fields of Application and Use It is used as a water-proof layer under new constructed wet surfaces coated with the materials such as wall tiles, floor tiles and marbles. ■ The application surface must be robust, smooth and clean and the inclination must be adjusted. ■ For pipe connections and critical connections; WS sealant or butyl tape are used for sealing. ■ Depending upon the area to be covered, it can be cut easily and its measures are adjusted. WS waterproofing tape offers 30 tape practical application solutions. ■ It should be spread in overlaps. The overlaps should be 5-10 cm on the floor and 10-15 cm on the wall. There is a 7.5 cm overlapping line on the rolls. ■ It is spread on the C2 cement-based tile adhesive that will be applied on the leveling screed. ■ In terms of safety, butyl tape, mastic or flexible cement-based adhesive can be used respectively for the sealing of the overlaps. ■ For wall-ground joints, waterproofing should be applied by using a WS waterproofing tape 14 or WS waterproofing tape 30 in a way that the tape is placed in the corner. WS internal corner or WS external corner components are applied over the waterproofing tape in the corners by using a suitable adhesive. For the pipe outlets, WS Pipe Flange is firmly fastened around the pipe and sealed by using mastic.
