LOW DENSITY TECHNOLOGY: INSULATION, ECO-SUSTAINABILITY AND SAVINGS.
Isoltech has created and patented an environmentally low impact building technology capable of substituting much better known, but less effective, materials and furthermore guaranteeing heightened insulating properties. This technology, the flagship of Isoltech’s knowledge base, allows for the production of mineral foam with densities of between 100 and 200 kg/m3.
The greater insulating properties of these densities, of between λ= 0,045 – 0,065 W/mK, makes it possible to use this economic and ecological material as a valid alternative to the better-known petroleum based insulating materials such as Styrofoam, expanded or extruded polystyrene and other extremely energy consuming substances such as autoclaved silicates, significantly more expensive, or even expanded polyurethane, more insulating but with an extreme impact on eco-sustainability and cost.
MINERAL FOAM: PATENTED TECHNOLOGY
Low Density Technology makes the production of mineral foam economical, advantageous and completely recyclable. Given the simplicity of production through the use of manual or automatic plants, it is possible to employ “Low Density” for numerous uses making the return on investment in machinery much faster than might be imagined:
– Thermally graded sandwich panels for civil and industrial uses;
– Double sheeted framed panels with a facing, Gyproc Knauf type, as an insulating core;
– Infilling bricks, blocks, as an insulating contribution.
