Elastomeric modified bitumen primer designed to activate and prepare substrates prior to the application of self-adhesive bitumen waterproofing products. Drying time approximately 1 hour, depending on the substrate and the weather conditions. Activation of the substrate prior to the application of self-adhesive IKO roofing bitumen roof felts. May be applied to many substrates including concrete, brickwork, metal and existing bitumen roof felt 3 years in the hermetically sealed packaging, when stored in a dry and cool place. Partly used containers may be resealed and used again after correct storage. To avoid the risk of spillage, always store and transport in a secure upright position. The substrate needs to be sound, clean and free from grease and nonadhering particles. Algae and fungi must be removed with a stiff broom and the surface treated with IKO pro Algae and Fungi Remover. Apply IKO pro SA Bitumen Primer in one layer with a brush, roller or airless spray gun. Make sure the primer is dry before applying self-adhesive IKO roofing bitumen roof felts.
