With its boilerless design, the Vortex100 uses less than 1.5 gallons of water per hour in heavy use. It is also ENERGY STAR® certified, enabling commercial kitchens to not only save utility costs related to water usage, but electricity as well.
In addition, with its fully accessible, industry-leading four-gallon reservoir, this steamer saves you more time compared to competing brands of kitchen equipment – with less filling and an easy cleanup with a simple vinegar water solution.
This steamer is available stand-mounted direct from Groen, eliminating the hassles that come with installation. Just fill the reservoir with water, plug it in, and it’s ready to steam. The Vortex100 also has a condensate cap available for operators without space under the hood. This cap catches the steam that is produced continuously when in use, condenses it into water, and redirects it to a drain line to protect your ceilings from continuous steam venting (check with local agencies for approval before ordering).
Condensate cap shall be constructed of #3 finish stainless steel with aluminum
finned internal tubing to facilitate the condensing of steam exhaust from steamers VRC-3E & VRC-6E. Three
muffin fans mounted behind front louver shall draw air into the Cap passing through the aluminum fins of the
internal tubing cooling and condensing the steamers exhaust. The condensate cap operates electrically and is
provided with a NEMA 5-15P plug (1 amp draw) and on/off switch. The steam hose and hardware are provided
to accommodate hook-up to steamers exhaust tube. The condensate drain connection is ¾” NPT located at the rear of the unit.
