EVOLAM T is a laminated glass consisting of two or more EVODUR (EVODUR ESG, EVODUR TVG, EVODUR HST) glasses of the same or different thicknesses.
EVOLAM T can also be manufactured from a combination of EVODUR ESG with EVODUR TVG or EVODUR HST.
Like EVOLAM laminated glass, EVOLAM T is laminated with an EVA-coated (Etilen Vinyl Acetate) film, which is UV and moisture-resistant.
EVOLAM T has a high transparency index, especially when ultra-clear (low-iron) glass is used as a base, and can be used both indoors and outdoors.
Being tempered, EVOLAM T is far more resistant to mechanical stress compared to EVOLAM laminated glass. Choosing various glass and foil thicknesses and configurations can achieve various levels of mechanical stress resistance, and therefore various levels of security and safety.
Like EVOLAM, EVOLAM T, is remarkably resilient and has a much larger range of uses due to its increased resistance to mechanical stress:
Glass pillars can be created –to provide structural support for various installations, such as skylights, glass floors, etc, and their thickness and width are dependent on the load they will have to bear. Glas Expert recommends using an ultra-clear (low iron) glass as a base to reduce the green hue that appears with increasing glass thickness.
Glass floor – glass floors are also made of EVOLAM T glass and generally consist of three glass sheets – from which two to take the load and one for safety reasons. To support the required loading (600 kg / m2 or 400 kg / m2), the glass floor and the supporting pillars may include more sheets.
Glass railings – are only made of EVOLAM T to provide the required degree of protection.
