The solid state relay is a device that a switch of solid state uses (for example a transistor or a
thyristor), instead of mechanical contacts (like those of the normal relays), to exchange loads of power from signals of control of low level. These last ones can come, for example, of digital
circuits and be directed to motors, lamps, solenoids, heating engineers, etc. The isolation between the circuitry of control and the stage of power provides a optoacoplador generally.
The great advantage of the relays is the complete electrical separation between the drive current, the one that circulate around the coil of the electromagnet, and the circuits controlled by the contacts, which causes that voltages or high powers with small tensions of control can be handled to stops.
Also they offer the possibility of control of a remote device by means of the use of small
signals of control, the commutation proper can be realised by bipolar transistors, MOSFETs of
power, triacs, SCRs, etc. Standard DIN rail mounting.
