Waste incinerator ash as building material
The waste that is produced after incinerating in a waste incinerator is called waste incinerator slag or waste incinerator ash. Although this is a waste product it is excellent as a building material for road heightening or as a supporting layer at landfill sites for example. An important condition is that the waste incinerator ashes are covered with a geomembrane/geotextile construction in order to prevent potential contamination of the groundwater.
