Steps:Obtained from excavated slabs with thickness ranging from 3 to 7 cm and milled to measure. Sides are usually visible for 3, 4 and/or 6 cm by a standard depth of 5-6 cm. The stone cutter removes with a mallet the sawn side and makes the stone visible.
Treads and risers: Obtained from thin excavated slabs (1 to 3 cm thick) with sawn sides, fix width and standard or cut-to-measure length. Visible sides can be processed as steps.
