The first version was a limited edition of twelve 1200 x 1200mm tables made from aluminium sheet. This was formed by hand in 16 sections and welded together to create the inner and outer walls of the table. The welded joints were then polished and worked by hand until they were invisible. The table was finally polished until the whole piece had a faultless mirror-reflective surface. The edition was made by British craftsmen who normally hand-make replacement body panels for vintage Aston Martin cars. A further metal prototype was made and finished in orange automotive paint.
