dk3 is known for the large plank tables, so it was obvious for designer and dk3 founder Jacob Plejdrup to carry on this design tradition, when developing the GRAND SIDEBOARD in 2016. Grand is a synonym for great and impressive, and the sideboard really lives up to this name both in terms of dimensions and design. The corpus and the interior separator plates and shelves are made of solid wood. The width of the imposing corpus is 40 mm, and with lengths up to 240 cm the sideboard can contain more than an average sideboard. However, despite the heavy and impressive dimensions, the sideboard still appears very simple and light in proportion, exactly like the plank tables TREE TABLE and dk3_TABLE. GRAND SIDEBOARD is available in oak, wild oak, smoked oak or walnut, and is one of the few sideboards on the market in solid wild oak and walnut. The sliding doors and the bottom of the drawers are made of Nano laminate in various colours and have a very resistant and almost maintenance free surface. The back cover of the sideboard is also made of Nano laminate, so the sideboard does not necessarily need to be placed against a wall but can easily work as a room divider. The legs of the sideboard are available in wood or two steel versions with the same design as either the LOWLIGHT TABLE or the dk3_3 TABLE and TREE TABLE. With a selection of four wood types and Nano laminate colours and three different leg designs it is possible to customize the sideboard to fit into almost any interior design in both private homes and office spaces.
