Description

A line of rugs interpreting the graphic tradition of the Bauhaus at the time when the graphic design department reached its zenith with Herbert Bayer. Having speculated the possibility of a link between “advertising” science and psychology and fired by a strictly rational vision, geometry becomes the absolute protagonist of any blank surface, whether a poster or rug, on which to apply a painted background. Therefore, with a process of formal subtraction that tends to reduce the graphical exercise and enhance a more intimate content, Stilema excludes any superfluous element of the manifesto by which it is inspired, in an attempt to achieve a perfect balance. Three versions: two neutral colour palettes and a more brightly coloured one. Entirely hand-made, Stilema rugs are quality products that team up beautifully with the entire Ditre Italia collection.
