"The Tibetan way of weaving carpets requires a very traditional and careful production technique. We combine this centuries-old expertise with modern know-how and exclusive, high-quality materials." Sonnhild Kestler first put BELA & ELIS together in a kind of paper collage in her studio in Zurich. Once the shapes and colors were harmonious, the paper and wool colors were perfectly matched. ELIS and BELA are hand-knotted from Tibetan wool, with approx. 160,000 knots per square meter. Suitable for living areas as well as high-traffic areas.
