The TRADI© collection of tree planters, conceived by the Akïro design agency, combines traditional aesthetics and functionality for the re-vegetation of cities and the well-being of city dwellers. Focusing on above-ground cultivation, Akïro takes an innovative approach to the design of these planters to facilitate the integration of plants into urban environments.
TRADI URBAN PLANTERS AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO THE TRADITIONAL ORANGERY TUB
The TRADI© planter series reinterprets the traditional orangery planter invented in the 15th century under Charles VIII and nicknamed "orange tree crates" by André Le Nôtre, in a distinctly more modern version. While remaining classic, TRADI© tree planters stand out as an innovative, design-led alternative, offering functionality adapted to the urban environment and adding a customizable aesthetic touch. This collection of planters for urban spaces features clean lines in cubic and rectangular shapes. Volumes are varied to meet the needs of both a simple planting of flowers and a larger shrub. The TRADI© urban planter blends harmoniously with the TRENDI© urban planter, which features a curved shape. This compatibility makes it possible to create alignments with TRADI© alone, alleys alternating sinuous shapes with TRENDI©, or a combination of the two styles. The TRADI© range of urban planters offers five capacity options: the 160-liter, 290-liter, 320-liter, 540-liter and 900-liter models.
