This is a weave with a pre-crimped weft, whereby the weft wires are also specially calendered to give the wire cloth a relatively flat surface. Thanks to their special strength, these cloths are used in the cement industry for wet atomization and in the electrochemical industry for the production of cathodes for Chlorine-Soda cells. They may be supplied in rolls of various widths and lengths and in flat panels cut to size. They are usually produced in carbon steel but can also be made from stainless steel.
