The continuous anodised layer is a specially developed flexible anodic film permitting post transformation but without prejudicing the surface protection afforded by anodising.
This permits, for example, continuously anodised aluminium to be rolled after treatment to create, for example, corrugated or profiled sheets.
Because anodised aluminium retains the pure metallic aspect of the aluminium, the corrugation creates a play on light not available on coated, painted corrugated aluminium.
This material has been very successfully used in 13 metre vertical sections across a 7 800 square metre facade of Coil's production hall and offices in Bernburg, Germany. Depending on the intensity and angle of the sun, the building will change from silver to white to orange.
