Evangelos Vasileiou is revisiting the 1950s with his very appropriately-named Humphrey armchair, which is just as classically chiselled as the famous of the famous actor. Accompanied by its footrest, it becomes a chaise longue. Plomb-coloured metal base; seat in leather or fabric; armrests in natural or black-stained oak - and all this at an accessible price. The design of the Humphrey armchair asserts a certain modernity and a place in its time with its efficiency and economy of means. The two massive volumes of the seat float in the air, suspended from a slim, elegant structure, a gesture like the pen-stroke of a calligrapher. To the steel wire and fabric of the seat, a third material is added for the armrest: solid sculpted wood, a noble, welcoming materials which functions like a punctuation mark to the fluid writing of the structure. CONSTRUCTION Armchair - mechanically soldered structure ; base in 12 mm steel wire finished in Epoxy 'canon de fusil' (gunmetal) lacquer ; armrests in natural or black-stained oak. Footrest - panels of 3-layer particleboard. Base in 12 mm steel wire finished in Epoxy 'canon de fusil' (gunmetal) lacquer. COMFORT: -Seat : elastic webbing, high resilience polyurethane foam (38 kg/m3 - 3.6 kPa), clad in 110 g/m² polyester quilting. -Back : high resilience polyurethane foam (26 kg/m3 - 1.4 kPa), clad in 110g /m² polyester quilting.
