Penrose is a large dinner table in wood and glass. The design was inspired by the geometric research of mathematician Roger Penrose and his famous impossible triangle.
THE IMPOSSIBLE TRIANGLE BY ROGER PENROSE
Depending on the point of view, the legs overlap or blend to form shapes with 3, 4, or 5 legs. The glass top (clear of neon pink) shows the solid wood base assembled with traditional tenon and mortise technique. The result is a sculptural piece with brutalist inspirations enriched with luxurious finishes and the natural beauty of noble materials.
The rich solid wood is stained in soft orange, pale pink, and dark blue in the color version. The result is a powerful yet subtle piece, true to the designer conceptual vision.
The natural version is more toned down and uses 3 variations of the wood: bleached, oiled, and black stained for a softer and quieter color palette.
COMPOSITION
Solid wood - Matt finish.

MAINTENANCE
Always use a soft cloth and rub lightly. Never apply any solvents. A change in the wood colour is a normal reaction if there is a long exposure to the sun. Solid wood is a natural material and it is sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity. Please do not expose solid wood products to excessive heat sources such as radiators or fireplaces. Any sudden change in temperature and/or humidity can cause natural cracks in the material.
