CGL's "Rainscreen" system is a fully drained, ventilated and pressure equalised façade which forms the external aesthetic element of a multi-layer wall. The system's unique feature is the CS2 support grid which allows ultimate functionality by its 3-axis adjustability, giving perfect alignment of façade panels and joint lines.
This system also allows air movement around each panel which provides the ultimate pressure equalisation minimising the water penetration to the inner wall. This system protects the structural backing wall against water, wind, and solar damage and test results are available under the regime laid down by the Centre for Window and Cladding Technology. The company's strong supply chain allows us to offer a wide range of materials as the façade panel choice, ranging through aluminium alloys, stainless steel, copper, zinc, brass, bronze, and corten steel, and also a diverse portfolio of finishes such as anodised, patinated, PVDF and polyester painted, polished, perforated, and pre-weathered. Colour range in paint finishes is huge and specials can be matched for approval. Metal "Rainscreen" systems come in the following range of materials:
