The design of Matrice has led to the reinvention of a series of finishes applicable to porcelain stoneware, allowing for the creation of original and always different combinations, also drawing on elements of inspiration from Italian modernist architecture and studying the particular harmony of the exposed concrete compositions in some solutions from that creative period. «We love concrete as a material, its versatility and its plain, austere look. In modern usage the term Matrice, in Italian, refers to a die or mould used to reproduce an object, but its origins are much more remote, with a meaning closer to the English “matrix”, meaning the underlying basis of something.
