Hidden steelwork is the key to the success of this gorgeous walnut timber and glass staircase, cleverly placed tread lights really finish the look.
Other than the slotted satin polished stainless steel handrail there isn’t much visible that explains why an architectural metalwork company built this staircase.
The walnut finish is a 30mm thick cladding of a structural steel work frame. The simple zigzag design has stainless steel bosses fixed through the timber to the steel frame in order to support the frameless glass balustrade.
The timber was all hand finished on site by our joinery contractor, K & D Joinery.
